A few pictures

I will be posting a few silly pictures today.  The girls have been making their own doll houses the past two days.  I had some candle boxes sitting around and they wanted to decorate them and make them into doll houses.  So, I figured why not use up some of my scrapbook stickers too?  I can't remember the last time I did any scrapbooking.  The girls came home from school Thursday and Friday, did their homework and went straight to work on the houses.  They worked until supper time and then played afterwards.  In the smart words of my Hubby, "That's better than spending $50 on a Barbie house!"

2 pounds of hamburger with dried onions sprinkled on the bottom.  Baked for 20 minutes at 375.

Cut and put cheese slices on top.  Put in the freezer for an hour.

Put the burgers in a bun, wrap individually in wax paper and put back in the bun bag.  Put them in the freezer and they are ready to go for school lunches.  Nuke for 30 -40 seconds.  E LOVES them!!!!!

Chicken Spaghetti.  2 cups diced, cooked chicken.  1 can each of cr. chicken and cr. mushroom soup.  Half a can of diced tomatoes and green chilies.  1 small log of Velveeta cheese.  1 box of spaghetti ( I used Fettuccini).  Mix and put in crock on low for 2-3 hours.  My family gobbled it up!!!

And, I am going to post pictures of the YUMMY supper I made last night and the sliders I made and put in the freezer for E to take to school for lunches.  I'm off to go to the Farmers Market in hopes of finding some tomatoes.  I haven't seen any there yet this year.  Happy Weekend everyone!!  :)

Happy Labor Day!

We were torn between staying home this weekend or going to Colorado Springs to see Santa's Village.  Our awesome neighbors invited us to go along.  In the end, the girls were invited to a Birthday party and would have been super upset to miss it.  The Birthday girl is one of the most liked girls in class after all!  So, we stayed home.  And today, I am very glad we did, as I am in bed sick.  My sweet Hubby is taking care of everything around here AND tending to my pathetic lil' self.  It is 2:00 and I am still in my jammies.  I can't remember the last time THAT happened!  So, the grilling and celebrating will have to wait.  This Mamma is tuckered.  I guess getting back into the swing of school season is taking more out of me than I realized.  The girls are doing really well though and I am very proud of our 6 year old reading and doing her homework so well!  She has really grown and changed a lot this Summer!  The child that threw a FIT if a drop of water touched her face in the bathtub started holding her breath and swimming under water!  THEN she even tried it without holding her nose.  And she took off on her bicycle.  FINALLY!  She still has training wheels but she is getting the hang of it.  And our 7 year old is off like crazy on her new big girl bike.  And our 3 year old is doing Montessori school work on an app. I purchased for my iPad.  SO much fun going on at our house!  Life is never dull here.  Hope everyone has a safe and fun Holiday!  My favorite Season is upon us and I can't WAIT for Fall!!!!!
