Just another day of playing outside.

Newest family member, "Gibby"

Looking up at the sky from Grandma's Graveside.  It's as though she was telling me "It is well with my soul."

My Uncle, Grandfather, and Father.

Rest in Peace sweet Grandma!

It has been a bitter sweet week.  My folks were finally able to come visit.  It is the first time they have been to our place since we moved.  They have been keeping a bedside vigil by my Grandmother.  She was 92 and had a stroke in May.  Things were looking up so they came to visit.  They were here a few days and then got a phone call in the middle of the night that Grandma's pulse was racing, her breathing was labored and her blood pressure was dropping.  They left the next morn and were able to be by her bedside all afternoon the day she died.  I want to keep the memory of my precious Grandmother, Alice Viva Tanner Felgate, alive.  I am determined to continue her good works!  She was a prayer warrior.  She was always thinking of everyone else.  She was sickly most of her life, but continiued to live praising God.  If only we could all live the way she did!  I miss her so much, but know there is an Angel in Heaven looking over me and that gives me great comfort.  So, in memory of my Grandma, I'd like to add this:
     Safely Home
  I am home in Heaven, dear ones;
Oh, so happy and bright!
There is perfect joy and beauty
In this everlasting light.
All the pain and grief is over,
Every restless tossing passed;
I am now at peace forever,
Safely home in Heaven at last.
There is work still waiting for you.
So you must not idly stand;
Do it now, while life remaineth-
You shall rest in God's own land.
When that work is all completed,
He will gently call you Home;
Oh, the rapture of that meeting,
Oh, the joy to see you come!

New pet

One week to go before school starts.  I can't wait.  I am excited for the girls to make some new friends and excited to have just 1 little girl at home so I can get some cleaning done.  After a lot of thought, we finally decided to get a pet.  We have an adorable little lap dog.  Just the right size and temperment for the girls and the hubby loves having a little companion too!  The dog is 1/2 pomeranian, and 1/2 chihuahua.  He looks like a little fox.  A LOT like the dog I had as a little girl only smaller.  I think he will only be about 6-8 pounds full grown and doesn't shed.  So far, so good.  I am going to be house training him and potty training Baby A, so I will be BUSY and up to my eyes in poo, but it will get better......I will keep telling myself that!  ;)
     We are having a very cool day today after a night of thunderstorms and I am loving it.  Such a nice relaxing day here.  I can't wait to check out the Farmers Market this weekend.  I hope to get some yummy jam, pie and veggies. I hope everyone is enjoying the last days of Summer!
