We just had a wonderful weekend!  The girls performed Friday night in the school Dinner Theatre to a crowd of over 400!  My folks came for the weekend to watch and to help out with Bub's Birthday party.  We had a "Tangled" Birthday party for Bub on Saturday.  The girls all had so much fun and it was so much fun watching them all play and have a great time.  We topped it off Sunday going to church as a family and having pizza for lunch.  The weather couldn't have been more beautiful.  It was a great time all around and I am so happy everything went so well!  Now it's back to work.  "Baby A" and I just watched the Hubby take off on his Company plane to work for the week.

He is Risen!!!!

Easter weekend was absolutely wonderful!  My hubby suprised me and treated me to a "Date night" while my sweet folks watched the kiddos!  We ran into a couple that taught me in Sunday School!!!  I was able to treat myself to a pedicure with my former roomie on Friday and then we went to Good Friday service, followed by some great fellowship with some wonderful friends!  Saturday we visited my Grandfather in the Veterans Home and then colored Easter eggs with Grandma.  The day ended with an egg hunt.  The girls had a ball!  It was fun watching them search and then give some eggs to Baby A to help her out!  Sunday we went to Easter service at a packed house.  Then it was home to change, eat and have another egg hunt with the neighbors.  They even had a pinata for the kiddos!!!    We ended up staying an extra day and visited with my Grandfather again.  It was a weekend full of laughter, fun, and celebration of our risen Lord!!!!
A, Luke, E, Isaiah, Bub, and Haley.  The girls with some of her cousins.

Praying for my Dad

At this very moment my Father is in surgery having a procedure done on his heart.  I am not sure of all the correct terms but from what my Mother has told me he is having part of his heart burned to create scar tissue on the part of his heart causing it to beat irregularly.  It is driving me crazy that I can't be there with my Mom by her side holding her hand through this.  But, I am praying like crazy.
On another note, we are having beautiful, mild weather here.  The girls keep asking me when we can go to the lake!  They are a bit excited for Summer I think!!  My hubby has been out of town a lot lately.  I kind of like it but hate it at the same time.  As long as he is busy, and happy, I am very happy.  It makes a huge difference when you actually love your job!  I have to get crackin on finding something for the girls to do for the Science Fair at school.  It is next week and I am slacking!  I never had to do a Science Fair, so this is new to me.  E's latest thing is writing her own books.  I think she has written 5 or 6 so far.  They are just little 6 page "books", but she colors pictures to go with the pages and she is so good at it!  And Bub is counting the days until her Birthday and party.  She can't WAIT!!!  She has 4 other girls in her class so we will have them all over for a Rapunzel party.  I need to work on that too!  'Tis the season to rejoice in the resurrection of our Lord and I am anxious to see the musical the girls are working on at school.  E has sang bits of it to me already.  Her voice is like Heaven to me.  I just love hearing her sing!  Baby A is growing like a weed.  I am glad she is growing considering she doesn't eat much.  She is my big helper around the house and playmate to our dog.  They are best buddies.  I must go get some work done.  If my ipod would cooperate I could post some pictures.  That will have to happen later.  God Bless ya'll!!!

Storm coming!

Living in Nebraska, one can never predict what the Winter will be like.  Usually is involves some freezing, fluffy white stuff in the air or on the ground!  I love Winter and I LOVE that fluffy white stuff.  But since we moved, this area hasn't seen much of the beloved white stuff!  Last Summer we saw a LOT of rain and flooding.  This Winter has been dry and boring.  No snow.  A dusting maybe 2-3 times.  So, imagine my childlike excitement at the prospect of snow!  Possibly 3 inches.  It's so sad that I am excited about this.  Most of my friends think I am insane.  But I want a MAJOR snowstorm before the Winter is over.  I love how beautiful everything looks when it is covered in a layer of fresh fallen snow!  We will see what tomorrow brings!  I am trying to prepare for the hubby being gone for a week on a business trip.  Not only will I miss my best friend, I am going to miss the help he gives getting the kiddos ready for school and helping in the evenings!  He gets to hop on the company plane and head West.  What a big wig!  Must be nice!  :)  I have to figure out what to do for our oldest girls birthday.  She'll be 7 and I am dreading having ten 7-8 year olds here for her party.   The big thing here is to have birthday parties at the bowling alley.  We may have to try that.  I can't believe how fast the years are flying by.  It seems like E has just grown up so fast.  She has always been such a big girl, such a good big sister.  She is so smart and sweet and funny.  I just love that kid!  I must go play Barbie with Baby A.  She is patiently waiting for me.  Until next time.  God Bless!

Business Trip with my HOT hubby!

I am sitting in a motel enjoying a hot cup of coffee.  No kids in the background fighting over barbies or pulling on my arm to get them chocolate milk.  I enjoyed a breakfast of cinn.  french toast and coffee in peace.  Soon we will be on the road to pick up the girlies at my folks.  We had a nice evening out last night w/ a bunch of my Hubby's co-workers.  I enjoyed eating a meal that was still hot by the time I got around to eating it!!
I am thinking a lot about my Grandmother that passed away in August.  Yesterday she would have turned 93.  She was an amazing woman with Southern beauty and grace.  I am hoping we can go visit my Grandfather sometime this weekend.  Praying for my Husband's Grandfather as he fell and is healing.  It is hard to realize we are at the time in our lives when very precious loved ones are aging quickly.  Enjoy every second you have with your loved ones.  Time is precious.  God bless and have a wonderful weekend!

LOTS of pictures!

The Thanksgiving spread.

We went for a walk by the Lake after Thanksgiving dinner.  We had beautiful weather for it!

Horrible lighting and the girls in play clothes, but that is the family around the table!  We are very blessed this year to have a healthy family and such wonderful family and friends!

Happy 3rd Birthday to our "baby" girl!!!

E had so much fun decorating cookies!!!

The top balls are chocolate chip cookie dough balls.  The bottom balls are peanut butter balls I had yet to dip in chocolate.  They are both to die for!  My long-time friend Holly gave me the recipes.

Holiday travels

Christmas is just around the corner and I have so much shopping to do I can't wrap my brain around it!  We are seriously hoping the weather stays nice enough for us to make the 17 hour trip to Louisiana.  I am dreading the trip and extremely excited about it at the same time.  I look forward to having a great Holiday with my hubby's family and hope the girls enjoy themselves.  It is such a magical time of year to me.  I love all of the festivities and the family time.  And nothing is more exciting than going down South!  This week the girls have their Christmas program for school.  They have been practicing for quite a while and I can't wait to see them perform.  E is quite the little singer.  She is so very talented and has even taken to playing drums like her Daddy.  Baby A turned 3 last week and it's hard to believe how big our baby is getting.  Time flies by way too fast.  Praying everyone has a safe Holiday Season and that we don't lose sight of the reason for the celebration!!!  God bless and Merry CHRISTmas!!!!
