Summertime
We have been having crazy weather. For about 2 weeks we had non-stop storms, all at night of course while we were TRYING to sleep. Fortunately the girls let us sleep MOST of the time. We have had a few nice nights of peace and quiet lately, so I am very thankful for it. Tonight we had a delicious meal of burgers on the grill with corn on the cob, and watermelon. The girls and I had banana splits for dessert. What a great summer meal. I have been having wonderful luck with a new meal planning/cookbook my Mother gave me a while back. It is "Supper's on the table, come home", by Rachel Masters. It is a Godsend in my opinion. I have always had such trouble trying to figure out what to make and what groceries to get to make our meals. This book has 13 weeks of meals, with desserts and snacks and includes a grocery list each week needed to make the meals for the specific week. It is WONDERFUL!!!!!!!! I can't go on enough about it. I have had 2 friends buy the book for themselves and their Mother's as well! If you need any help with cooking for your family, this is a book for you!!!!
We are enjoying our Summer so far with playdates, playing outside and Vacation Bible School. I am trying to help our middle child prepare for preschool in the Fall. Our oldest will be starting Kindergarten. I can't believe how fast time is going. All is well here and I hope ya'll are enjoying your Summer. God Bless and keep cool!!!

Rain, Rain, go away!
Not much new to share. It has been raining it seems every day for about a week or two. I have lost track. I just know we are soaking wet!!! It makes for a muggy day too and restless nights. The girls don't like thunder and it seems just about the time we are settling in for bed, the storms pop up. But the yards, trees, bushes and flowers sure are pretty and colorful! We planted some flowers last weekend when my Mom was here and the girls love to help water them.
The 2 big girls are at Bible School right now. I hope they are having a great time. I am getting a chance to have some one on one time with Baby A. She is such a good little babe. We were able to skype with my Dad on Friday and then my Mother-in-law and sister-in-law and her family on Sunday. Web cams are wonderful! It was so good to see everyone since we can't see family as much as we would like.
Must go for now. Laundry won't fold itself.

Happy Monday
Monday. UGH! And not just any Monday. Our first Monday since E has gotten out of school. It was just preschool, but I am dreading the girls being together 24/7. They can be best friends and worst enemies. It will be an interesting Summer. Our favorite neighbor is moving away, so the girls will be losing a playmate. I may be hitting the library and pool regularly. But, don't want to let the housework lag. I have to find a way to do it all without one thing suffering.
E had her preschool graduation last week and made us proud. She sang so well and was a little social butterfly. Then we went to the zoo with her classmates. That was so much fun. We have had dreary, cloudy, rainy weather and it cleared up and was sunny and beautiful the day we went to the zoo. We couldn't have asked for more. The girls had a great time. I must stop procrastinating and need to tend to some laundry. Hope this finds all well and enjoying the busy month of May! God bless.

Mother's Day
I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day. I have been so very blessed with a sweet, precious Mother who gives so much of herself and loves with her whole heart. I have also been blessed with 3 healthy, adorable little girls and in 1999 I was blessed with an amazing Mother-in-Law. I couldn't ask for more.
My handsome hubby let me sleep in Sunday and made a delicious breakfast for all of us. As we were ready to eat the girls sang me a song for Mother's Day. It was wonderful. At supper my dear hubby made shrimp. What a way to finish the day.
The weather has been cool, cloudy, and rainy. I made soup last night to warm us up. I am hoping it warms up and dries up by Friday when we are going to the zoo w/ E's class for her last day of school. I can't believe our oldest "graduates" from Preschool tonight. The girls are growing so fast. Time is flying by so very fast. I hope this finds all well. God bless and take care!
