Summer in full swing....

We got last week over with and now we can relax for a bit.  Last Tuesday thru Friday the girls had Vacation Bible School.   I helped out in the 3yr. old class so I could be with A.  It was crazy busy, but also fun!  The girls really loved it and they sang their little hearts out.  It was precious.  We hit the lake Saturday with friends and wore the kids out.  I came home with half the lake and a sunburn.  I MUST remember to put sunscreen on!  I always put it on the girls and neglect myself!  Tomorrow the summer reading program starts at our local library.  I hope the girls really dig into some good books.  I am going to post a few misc. pictures and hope you enjoy.  Happy heat wave everybody!

 I attempted to take some pictures of the eclipse tonight on our cheap lil camera.  I was stoked that they turned out as well as they did.  I hope you enjoy them!

The girls are enjoying having friends here for a sleep-over.  They had corndogs, mac-n-cheese, and s'mores for dessert!  Our house is overflowing with girl power right now!  I'm off to see what they are up to.  Here's hoping I survive the night!!!!

Super Moon!

We were able to catch a glimpse of the Super Moon last night.  It sure was beautiful and bright!  It lit up the sky along with lightning to our Northeast.  We spent the afternoon yesterday at the lake.  It was so much fun.  The girls had a blast swimming and playing in the sand and water.  The hubby fished and caught 2 good sized carp.  I enjoyed resting on the beach and soaking in the rays.  It was a great afternoon.  Today is cloudy, windy and cool, so we will be inside getting stuff done around the house.  I feel like making soup and homemade bread.  We'll see what can get done!  I hope everyone has a relaxing end to the weekend!  God bless.

Bubba's 6th Birthday!!!

It has been a wonderful day of celebrating someone special's birthday!  "Baby A" and I went to school to have lunch with her big sisters for Bub's Birthday.  She was having a fun day and everyone in school sang to her after lunch.  Daddy is out of town, but he called right away this morning to tell her Happy Birthday.  It has been a fun few days and now I am ready for my Hubby to be home and hopefully Saturday the girls will let me sleep in....even a few minutes longer!!!!

We just had a wonderful weekend!  The girls performed Friday night in the school Dinner Theatre to a crowd of over 400!  My folks came for the weekend to watch and to help out with Bub's Birthday party.  We had a "Tangled" Birthday party for Bub on Saturday.  The girls all had so much fun and it was so much fun watching them all play and have a great time.  We topped it off Sunday going to church as a family and having pizza for lunch.  The weather couldn't have been more beautiful.  It was a great time all around and I am so happy everything went so well!  Now it's back to work.  "Baby A" and I just watched the Hubby take off on his Company plane to work for the week.

He is Risen!!!!

Easter weekend was absolutely wonderful!  My hubby suprised me and treated me to a "Date night" while my sweet folks watched the kiddos!  We ran into a couple that taught me in Sunday School!!!  I was able to treat myself to a pedicure with my former roomie on Friday and then we went to Good Friday service, followed by some great fellowship with some wonderful friends!  Saturday we visited my Grandfather in the Veterans Home and then colored Easter eggs with Grandma.  The day ended with an egg hunt.  The girls had a ball!  It was fun watching them search and then give some eggs to Baby A to help her out!  Sunday we went to Easter service at a packed house.  Then it was home to change, eat and have another egg hunt with the neighbors.  They even had a pinata for the kiddos!!!    We ended up staying an extra day and visited with my Grandfather again.  It was a weekend full of laughter, fun, and celebration of our risen Lord!!!!
