Summer is HERE!!!!!!!!!

Summer is here and we are roasting! Haven't stepped foot outside today. We've been playing in the pool every day and eating lots of salads, sandwiches and icecream!!!! The girls love to hear the ding, ding, ding of the ice cream truck! My Dad has healed well and just today got the thumbs up from the Doc to put 100% of his body weight on his leg now. So I know he is excited about that. As of Father's Day our baby A started sitting up on her own. She is such a doll. Bubba and E are growing like crazy and changing so much. They are a lot of fun to watch and some of the stuff they say cracks me up. Not much else new on our end. Hope everyone is enjoying summer. Before we know it, it will be 10 degrees in our neck of the woods!!!! Summer flies by. Happy Heat wave everybody!!!!

yay...SPRING!!!!!!!!!!

FINALLY a beautiful day outside!!!! We had a lot of fun going for a walk and playing outside. Picked some Lilacs to bring in to make the house smell wonderful. All is well and everyone is healthy. My Dad is home from the hospital and healing. He is getting stronger and stronger. The girls are doing pretty good and have been behaving pretty well lately. We shall see if this continues....ha ha! Baby A is growing like a weed and makes me smile all day every day. What a joy to have a baby in the house again. I LOVE this stage!!!! She loves laughing at her big sister E. And Bubba likes playing peek a boo w/ her. It is pretty cute. We are all blessed to be healthy and really enjoying this season of life. Blessings to all!!!!

sick days

WOW! Where do I start. Had a wonderful Easter considering. We went back to Norfolk and Dad went out for a bicycle ride and wiped out. He broke and shattered his femur and is still in the hospital. Doing well though. My brother is sick and in the hospital. Our daughters (the older two) were sick and puking 3 days ago all night long. I am telling you when it rains it pours! I am hoping and praying like crazy that babe doesn't get it. I had it on Easter. UGH! Our girls are healthy otherwise and growing like crazy. E is so freakin smart. It amazes me that MY kid is smart! My hubby is doing GREAT and had a scare a few weeks ago. A fire at his plant and he put it out. Surrounded by smoke and unable to see. Inhaled a lot of that fire extinquisher stuff. He is fine though. We can't wait for warmer weather and the chance to play outside and enjoy the local parks. Hope this finds everyone well.

update...

We went to visit my folks while the hubby was out of town for work and were able to catch up with very good friends. The girls played dress up with some friends and fed some goats. We had such a good time. I miss my friends dearly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am very at the end of my rope these days. The last 3 days have been very stressful. My precious little 4 year old is testing me. Constantly. Smart comebacks and ignoring me all together. It's like I am talking to a brick wall. And the sass! My gosh it's like dealing with myself 30 years ago. I am so sorry Mother!!!! EEESH! Anyway, I am about ready to throw in the towel, but I know if I do that she'll be even worse! How could that beautiful child be so evil? UGH!!! On the flipside, our baby A is growing like a weed. She cut her first tooth at 14 weeks and is starting to play w/ toys now. She is just so precious. Bubba is a comic character. She is always laughing and is our drama Queen! Like her Mother. Yikes! Our poor household in 10 years. 3 Teenage girls. Talk about your drama. I am not looking forward to that!!! We are all healthy and I am very grateful for that. My brother was in the hospital and had to have his donor kidney removed, so he is once again on the waiting list for another donor. He is doing well considering. The MR. is doing fine. Keeping himself busy with work. I am looking forward to Spring and getting the kids out of the house for fresh air to to run off some energy!!! I will try to post updated pics.. I think the latest is of baby A at 14 weeks! What a cutie pie!!!! Until next time.

E's birthday

A week ago we celebrated our oldest daughter's birthday. My how time flies. She insisted I make her a doll cake just like last year. Same color frosing even. So funny. I might have to make one for Bubba in April too. At least they like what I do sometimes right? All is well here. Just dealing with a 4 year old that thinks she is a grown up and a 2 1/2 year old with an attitude and a 12 week old with sleep issues. Ahhh, the life of a Mom! Lovely! I wouldn't want it any other way though. Live is good. I am blessed with a healthy family that I love dearly. Life is short, I always say. Live each day to its fullest. And don't waste time and energy being angry.

much ado about nothing

Well, just thought I would update a little bit. Not much going on. Freezing cold right now. It was a beautiful day yesterday and we didn't even get to enjoy it as E has RSV and Bubba has a bad cough. We are hoping and praying baby A doesn't get sick. She is growing like a weed and doing really well. The past 2 nights have been rough but before that she slept 7 hours in a row and I about had a cow. It was SO nice to get some good sleep!!!!!! Other than having a sick house full, we are doing great. The hubby is doing well and work is going great. I am excited for Spring and can't wait to get out and explore our new hometown. It should take all of 5 minutes in a town with a population of 8,000!!!! I am thinking I need to change my blog name now, but don't know what to change it to. Maybe I will leave well enough alone. I will post some various pics. Enjoy.
